For any role the time required is flexible. We are all volunteers working for the site in any spare time we have around our own jobs, homes and families. We are grateful for any amount of help we receive.

All work is done mainly in the volunteer's own home, depending on the nature of the job, so you can be anywhere in the country to help us. Our main form of communication is email so internet access is essential.

We will pay expenses if required – they must be pre-agreed by us

Marketing

We are a fairly new and small organisation, with no income as such, that needs to be promoted to raise awareness of our condition, its misdiagnosis in the UK today and to raise funds to help us bring about change. We are looking for people with marketing skills to work on a range of activities, including:

• Contacting local newspapers to advertise us
• Finding suitable websites on which we can advertise for free
• Running the marketing for specific events
• Writing press releases

Events organization experience

• Thinking of suitable events and finding volunteers to run them
• Organizing the programme of activities for the day/course
• Making sure the event is suitably advertised
• you will work with our fundraising team on these

Charity/funding experience

For the organisation to grow and achieve all its aims we will need funding. We are looking for people to help us fundraise both on and offline and implement and promote our current schemes.

Website Assistant/ Online Researcher

To assist with online research to ensure NHS accreditation, developing education programmes and keep up with the necessary admin of the website to ensure it is kept up to date.

Charity Liaison

We are looking for people to act as Charity Liaisons; to contact the societies and charities associated with related conditions with a view to forming links with them and finding ways in which we can work together towards our common aim.

Skills/Qualifications – must be organized, must be contactable via email. Knowledge of thyroid disease is not essential as we can advise on any information you would need to provide
