DR MYHILL - PETITION

Most of you know that Dr Sarah Myhill is currently being investigated by the GMC and has to attend a 10 day GMC hearing in September.  (See http://thyroid-disease.org.uk/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=93&topic=964.0 for details.) There is now an on-line petition 'Patient Support for Dr Sarah Myhill' set up by The Sunderland and South Tyneside ME/CFS Support Group (www.mecfs.co.uk)in support of Dr Sarah Myhill.  Dr Myhill has helped many of us with hypothyroidism and she is the latest victim of the GMC who are going after doctors who 'think outside the box', Dr Skinner is another one - his FTP hearing is next month.  The consequences of losing these two doctors are dire - this will not only affect them and their patients, which is bad enough, but will also frighten many other doctors away from taking a broader view of blood tests and the like.  I can't begin to imagine what our lives will be like if all doctors are forced to adhere slavishly to 'the rules' for fear of losing their livelihood.

Help Dawn, just tried to read this but it comes up "not authorised". Carol

Try clicking  on the news section of the main site and then selecting the Myhill article from the list.

I'm guessing the system isn't recognizing the switch  over between the forum and the main site properly.
Either that  or Dawn's set the read permission  on the article wronge and  it's set to  registered members  only rather than  public.
