Butterfly:
I found this article on another forum, not sure if it has been posted on here already but it is quite interesting.

Dawn:
very interesting thanks

I've stickied it as it has a useful daignostic list of symptoms and it mentions hypo as a cause

Emma:
Butterfly, thankyou so,so much for posting this ghus  That is the most helpful article I have read about iron.

I have recently lost a battle with my gp who insists that I do not have iron deficiency even though my ferritin is only 22. In fact it is probably lower now as my breathlessness, fatigue and hair loss have got worse.

I need to get this sorted I think.  Thanks again.xx

LynsH:
That's an interesting article, thanks. Does anyone know if ''serum ferritin' the same as 'ferritin' or is there a difference?

Rosemary:
That was very interesting. I've been anaemic in the past and given courses of iron but once the normal blood tests come back normal you're told you are cured. When someone bothered to do my ferritin it was 0. I think it's 14 at the moment and I've just been given some more iron. Those symptoms too, got nearly all of them.
