Hello everyone.

Ordered my weekly grocery shopping to arrive yesterday among my order was a half leg of lamb, reduced from £6 per kilo to £4.50 or something like that.

Any hoo, I almost had a jiddy when I unpacked it. Instead of sending me half a leg weighing around 500g, they sent me a whole leg of lamb weighing 2kg.

I started moaning that I wasn't paying £16 for a joint of meat ordered at £5 and the nice young chappy soon calmed me down telling me tesco now does price match. faint

I got a whole leg of lamb worth just over £16 for a fiver.

Now here's the reason for my post. Only 2 of us for Sunday lunch yesterday and got most of it stuck in the fridge and I'm wondering what to do with it.

I'm not keen on lamb sandwiches and some recipe ideas for lamb leftovers would be fantastic!!!

Thanks Yorkylass xx   BAAAaaa!!

Morning ladies, thanks for the recipe ideas.

I did look online, but, 99% of the recipes were for fresh lamb, not already roasted.

I don't want it to go tough.

I'm going to try hot pot ( got a colmans lamb hotpot sauce mix) and do it in slow cooker.

The rogan josh sounds nice too. I'll give that a go.

I think the just was, once cooked either cook very slow or very fast to keep it tender.

Thanks again,

you could always make it up & freeze it

or just freeze it as it is

how fabby, i love whole legs of lamb, so much better when the meat is cut from a chunky piece me thinks
