Login Difficulties

It does appear that sometimes members are having difficulty logging  into  this site.

Upon submitting your username and password,  the Login button sends you to  a 404  Page not found  error.   If you look at the address bar at the top, it seems to  have doubled the address of the page  it's looking for.

This appears to  be some quirk within the system, though IE cannot be ruled out.   I am currently working to  try to  find a solution, though as yet,  the erratic nature  of the problem has me baffled.

As a temporary workaround,  I suggest retyping the root address  of the thyroid site  in the address bar, as this does seem to  occasionally return the member to  a logged  in state.

Type http://www.thyroid-disease.org.uk
or type http://thyroid-disease.org.uk       it does seem  either possibility may well  work.

Sometimes this will  return you to  the home/login page without logging you in. Occasionally logging  in again will work correctly.

It has me very confused as  it seems so  erratic.
